Arts Intensive Program

Art School at Stanford! Spend the last three weeks of summer taking a single arts practice class, earn two units of credit and a creative community to last a lifetime! All courses are project-based and invite students to dive deep into a particular art form. Classes meet daily each September before the start of the academic year. Applications open in March 2026, due in April.


Institute for Diversity in the Arts

The Institute for Diversity in the Arts supports visionary arts leadership by stewarding the power of the arts toward social action. We provide mentorship, training, funding, and social community for all Stanford students. Come learn about IDA's classes, fellowships, Artist in Resonance program, and more! Opportunities are open to Graduate and Undergraduate students.


Stanford Arts & Arts Prescribing Program

The Vice Presidency for the Arts aims to make Stanford a vital home for art and artists and to draw on the university's multidisciplinary strengths to focus on the future of the arts. Staff are eager to speak with you about the many ways to engage with the arts on campus, including a variety of grant and internship opportunities. In particular, come learn about the Stanford Arts Prescribing Program which connects Stanford students with arts and culture activities that support your individual health and well-being goals. Arts prescriptions are for everybody - find out how to get yours!


Stanford Arts Institute

Through arts immersions, student grants, and academic programs like the Minor in Interdisciplinary Arts and Honors in the Arts, the Stanford Arts Institute (SAI) helps students engage in the arts as a way of deepening and expanding their studies.


Stanford Live

Stanford Live presents a wide range of music, theater, and dance from around the world fostering a vibrant learning community and providing distinctive experiences through the performing arts. Stanford Live presents events at Bing Concert Hall, the Studio, Frost Amphitheater, and other venues around campus. We connect students to the performing arts through free and discounted tickets, masterclasses and workshops, and work opportunities. Come explore programs that open doors to creativity and discovery.
