Stanford is offering a range of support services for those with needs and questions about immigration issues.

Help & Support for Students

are a non-U.S. citizen seeking information about immigration or travel issues, or have questions about your immigration status and how changes to immigration laws and policies may impact you, please contact the Bechtel International Center for assistance and email Bechtel’s student immigration advisors with your questions at internationalstudents@stanford.edu. The travel page of the Bechtel website also provides extensive guidance for travel on a visa.

are looking for assistance or support regarding DACA or undocumented status, including questions about funding needs and financial aid, immigration status, and how potential changes to immigration laws and policies may impact you, please contact Undocumented Student Support Services at fordreamers@stanford.edu. Legal services, including free legal consultations and free DACA renewals and Advance Parole applications, are offered in partnership with the Immigrants' Rights Clinic of the Stanford Law School. Please note that legal services are available only to currently enrolled undocumented students. For support with legal resources, please email fordreamers@stanford.edu from your Stanford email.

are seeking mental or emotional health support, contact Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) at (650) 723-3785 any time, including evenings and weekends. Individual short-term counseling and consultation sessions which specialize in international student concerns are offered by CAPS. These sessions are also bookable through vadenpatient.stanford.edu and available during the academic year. In addition, virtual mental health care is available through TimelyCare.

have other needs or questions about immigration status - for example, regarding the undocumented status of a family member - you can receive a free consultation from Community Legal Services in East Palo Alto at (650) 326-6440, or one of the other Bay Area community partners with the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic of Stanford Law School listed on this webpage.
