Academic Planning

Once Stanford's course catalog, Navigate Classes, opens for the academic year in mid-August, begin looking for courses that will allow you to explore academic interests and potential majors. Explore what interests you, even if you are unfamiliar with the discipline. Many of Stanford’s fields may be entirely new to you. Use resources such as the Transer Academic Advisor, the Academic Advising website, and program and departmental websites to identify the types of classes and the specific courses in which you may be interested.

After completing an advising meeting with the Transfer Academic Advisor, incoming transfer students can begin enrolling in Autumn Quarter courses in early September when enrollment opens for continuing students. You will have until September 22 to register your preliminary study list in Axess.
