Stanford does not have a pre-med major. For any of the health professions, you may major in any discipline.
Getting Pre-Med Advice
There are pre-med advisors available to help you with your ideas, coursework planning, long-term objectives, and options for gaining experience.
All current Stanford undergraduate students and alumni of Stanford undergraduate programs who are interested in pursuing a pre-health career are encouraged to make an appointment to meet with one of the pre-health advisors. It is a good idea to seek up-to-date advising from these advisors more than once per year.
Pre-health advisors meet with Stanford undergraduate students and alumni of Stanford undergraduate programs and provide advice in a variety of formats:
- Individually, in one-on-one advising sessions (these sessions are available to current undergraduate Stanford students and alumni only): you may make an appointment here.
- During Open Office Hours (Office Hours dates and times are announced through the Pre-Med Canvas site).
- In a group (currently virtual) setting for a variety of programs throughout the year.
For announcements from your Pre-med/health Advisors in Academic Advising, join the Premed Canvas site (Stanford students and alumni only). To be added to Premed Canvas, please submit thiswebform.
