## Transcripts and College Report

An official high school transcript (or equivalent, such as a GED), official transcript(s) from every college/university attended, and a College Report are required.

### Transcripts

- Ask your high school to submit your official high school transcript (including your graduation date). If you attended an international high school and you have leaving exams (such as A-Levels, IB results, or national exams), you are required to have your school or the testing agency send your scores directly to Stanford. If you took AP exams, you are required to self-report all your AP scores.
- If there are challenges to obtaining your high school transcript, we recommend taking the GED (or state/country equivalent).
- If you did not graduate from high school and instead earned an equivalency, you must have the equivalency sent to Stanford by the testing agency.
- Request official transcripts from every college/university attended.
- A midyear transcript / mid-term report is not required for transfer admission.

### College Report

In a College Report, your academic dean, advisor or other school administrator enters your college GPA and information regarding your academic standing at the institution. This information is essential for the review of your application.

- Ask an official at your current institution to fill out a College Report form.
  - To locate the Common Application College Report form, go to the [Common App Program Materials page](https://help.liaisonedu.com/The_Common_App_Help_Center/Filling_Out_Your_Common_App/Program_Materials/Common_App_Program_Materials) and scroll down to "Offline Documents."

### How to Submit Required Materials

- The high school transcript (or equivalent), leaving exams, and college transcript must be submitted directly to Stanford by a school official or testing agency, not by the applicant, in order to fulfill the requirements. For transcripts and equivalencies, we prefer online submission through the Common Application, your school's system partner, or the testing agency. This is the fastest method for materials to reach your file.
- For the College Report, and if online submission is not possible for other required documents, school officials may submit application materials by email attachment to [credentials@stanford.edu](mailto:credentials@stanford.edu).
- When ordering college transcripts, please use [credentials@stanford.edu](mailto:credentials@stanford.edu) as the contact email. If using Parchment, please select the option that says Stanford University Undergraduate Admission - Transcripts/Documents.
- Visit our [After Submitting Your Application](https://admission.stanford.edu/apply/transfer/submitted.html) page for more information.

#### [What should I do if my college has a policy where they do not complete the College Report form?](#1)

We understand some institutions have policies where they do not complete a College Report on behalf of an applicant. Colleges/universities with this policy typically have a policy letter that they provide to students. The applicant may email the policy letter to [credentials@stanford.edu](mailto:credentials@stanford.edu), including your name, school name and date of birth in the email. The policy letter will be used to update your checklist item in your [Stanford portal](https://apply.stanford.edu/apply/status) .

#### [My school official is unable to submit materials for my application by the deadline. What should I do?](#2)

As a standard practice, we offer a grace period after the application deadline during which school officials may submit application materials. Please remind your school official to submit the materials as soon as possible. Continue to check your [Stanford portal](https://apply.stanford.edu/apply/status)  until we have received all items.

#### [My school official is unable to submit materials online. Is there another way to send the document(s) to you?](#3)

We only accept transcripts sent directly from school officials. The College Report can be sent directly from an applicant.

We strongly prefer online submission through the Common Application. If your school official is unable to submit required documents online, then they should send the document as an email attachment to [credentials@stanford.edu](mailto:credentials@stanford.edu). Please ensure that your full legal name, school name and date of birth are included on the required documents and in the email message.
