Cultural Events and Trips

Due to the modular design of this program, students will travel throughout the coastal region of Eastern Australia during the course of their studies. Faculty will lead students from Sydney to research stations on the Great Barrier Reef and around Brisbane, into the rainforest of South East Queensland. Many of these trips will provide unparalleled on-site cultural experiences. During your time on campus at the University of Queensland, a variety of cultural events will be organized, including a group dinner and an outing to a musical or theatrical performance.

Meeting People

The mobile nature of this research-intensive program fosters a close bond among the community within the cohort and participants will be able to interact with several post-graduate students and professors from The University of Queensland. The University of Queensland (est. 1909) is the largest and oldest university in Queensland with a student population of about 38,000; this contributes to the city’s rich resources, progressive style, and youthful personality. Students will also meet University of Queensland post-graduate students and faculty through their Individual Research Projects.
