Applicants will receive Subject adjustment factors for their high achievement in nationally strategic senior secondary subjects. Applicants do not need to apply for subject adjustment factors, they are automatically added to your selection rank in accordance with the schedule. In addition to the eligibility criteria for [adjustment factors](https://study.anu.edu.au/apply/domestic-undergraduate/anu-adjustment-factors), applicants must have achieved the required marks that are listed in the Subject Adjustment Schedule.

You can find the overall eligibility requirements for adjustment factors [here](https://study.anu.edu.au/node/1237). Adjustment factors through the Elite Athlete Friendly University Entry Scheme, the Subject Adjustment Scheme, and the Performer Scheme have a shared cap of 5 adjustments within the overall maximum of 15. Excluded programs do not accept adjustment factors from these three schemes.

International students who complete an Australian Year 12 qualification or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma in Australia and overseas may be eligible for subject adjustment factors at ANU, provided they apply through the University Admissions Centre (UAC).

1. Scores listed in this table reflect the minimum grade required for adjustment factors to be
   awarded.
2. All ACT subjects must be completed as a Major at minimum, unless specified otherwise. The
   ACT marks indicated in this schedule are the scaled marks received at the end of Year 12.
   Refer to the [ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies](http://www.bsss.act.edu.au/) for information on scaling in the ACT.
3. ACT specialist mathematics must be taken as either a major/minor or double major to be
   eligible for subject adjustment consideration. This is equivalent to NSW Mathematics
   Extension 1 or 2. For subject equivalencies in other Australian states, refer to the [UAC
   website](http://www.uac.edu.au/future-applicants/admission-criteria/year-12-qualifications). Subjects for which there is no NSW HSC equivalent are not eligible for subject
   adjustment factors.

## **For Applicants Commencing in 2027 and Onwards**

For applicants applying for 2027 commencement, the maximum number of Subject Adjustment factors they can receive will be reduced from 5 to 3. Each subject that awards an adjustment of 5 will be reduced to 3.

For applicants applying for 2028 commencement and onwards, the Subject Adjustment Scheme is discontinued.
