With a proud tradition of impeccably presented landmark exhibitions accompanied by scholarly publications, The Drill Hall Gallery is a venue of choice for many of Australia’s leading contemporary artists, curators and collectors.

The Gallery supports the arts in the Canberra region by presenting exhibitions developed in conjunction with the University’s wide-ranging academic interests as well as a diverse and vibrant selection of emerging and established artists. National and international exhibitions – and works from the University’s own extensive collection – are features of the Gallery’s program.

Our work is proudly supported by a generous community of Friends, volunteers and philanthropists. We invite you to consider joining this community by joining our membership program and considering including the Drill Hall Gallery and the ANU Art Collection in your philanthropic plans. We are honoured to include a growing circle of Exhibition Patrons among our supporters, and welcome further members of this group.

Much of the growth of the Collection in recent years has been due to the great generosity of people wishing to gift artworks to the University. Gifts to the Collection are eligible for the tax incentives provided by the Australian Government’s Cultural Gifts Program. The ANU Art Collection Acquisitions Advisory Committee determines the acceptability of gifts to the Collection according to the acquisitions policy. Interested parties are encouraged to contact Collection Curator, Oscar Capezio Oscar.capezio@anu.edu.au or Drill Hall Gallery Director, Tony Oates dhg@anu.edu.au

Should you like to make a general donation, the Friends of the Drill Hall Gallery Endowment was established to support projects at the Drill Hall Gallery, including special exhibitions and acquisitions to facilitate further understanding of the ANU art collection and support emerging artist projects. You can give online using the ‘Give now’ button on the Friends of the Drill Hall Gallery Endowment webpage. Or, we invite you to contact us for a conversation about your giving, so we can better understand the impact you would like to make, and how we can work together to support the arts.

For more information, please contact Drill Hall Gallery Director, Tony Oates, dhg@anu.edu.au or +61 (2) 62155832.
