Audacity is an open-source audio editing and recording software for manipulating sound files. It enables users to cut, copy, splice and apply effects like noise reduction, equalisation and amplification to WAV, MP3 and other formats. Audacity provides functionality for real-time previews and spectrogram analysis for creating, refining and exporting high-quality audio projects on Windows, MacOS and Linux platforms.
