ANU Press publishes scholarship across the disciplinary spectrum, with particular strengths in Australian Studies, Indigenous Studies and Knowledge, Asia and Pacific Studies, International Relations and Law.

Established as ANU E Press in 2004 to take advantage of new publishing opportunities enabled by developments in digital technology, the Press builds on earlier ANU publishing under the Australian National University Press imprint between the 1960s and 1990s.

The ANU Press is also recognised internationally as an innovative leader in open-access electronic publishing.
