- You can list up to three preferences on your application. It is important to remember to list them in order of preference, as you will only receive one offer. This offer will be for your highest eligible preference.
- Applications take 1–3 weeks to assess for the majority of programs.
- You can apply at any time throughout the year. Final-year bachelor's degree students can apply now for postgraduate studies in the upcoming semester or year.

Take these steps before starting your application.
1. Check our program requirements
We offer a range of degrees across a variety of disciplines. Find the ANU program for you and check its requirements.
2. Confirm your eligibility
You need to already hold, or be about to complete, a bachelor degree to apply for postgraduate study. Some programs also require a certain academic average, shown as an overall Grade Point Average (GPA) out 7.0. All students, whether domestic or international, must meet the minimum English language requirements for admission.
Please refer to the qualification that is applicable to you and check the minimum indicative score required to be considered for postgraduate degrees at ANU.
3. Prepare your transcripts or other documents
When you submit a direct application, you need to provide specific documents that are required to assess your application. Learn more about the documentation requirements on the ANU website.
