Our recent mentorship programme, held on the evening of 9 Jan 2026, has proven to be a resounding success with the support from Department of Systems Engineering and Engineering Management, the FinTech Student Society, and alumni. The event is designed to foster meaningful connections and bonding between current Fintech undergraduates and alumni.  In the first hour, our participants, who are our current undergraduates were paired with experienced alumni in FinTech sectors, fostering genuine connections. After that, undergraduates and alumni are told to move around, enjoying the catering service and having a chat with different individuals, providing a relaxing environment for networking.

The programme has received overwhelmingly positive feedback, where our participants successfully gain early career exposure into Fintech industry and get connected with industry veterans, and provide direct feedback to essential skills for FinTech, finding themselves a clear pursuit to have a better career planning, learning what really matters to the real world, get ahead of competitors.

\ Looking back, this mentorship initiative powerfully demonstrates the strength and community spirit of our FinTech Undergraduate Programme. The enthusiasm from 32 participants and 17 alumni who attended the event underscores how valuable these senior-junior interactions are in offering real-world insights, boosting confidence, and helping students chart clearer paths towards their future career.
