# The University of Tokyo -Asian University for Women Joint Summer Program Symposium

On Thursday, August 10, a public symposium under the theme of "Empowering Migrants, Immigrants, and Refugees" was hold as the final project of the University of Tokyo -Asian University for Women Joint Summer Program. Eleven students from UTokyo and ten students from AUW participated in the two-week Summer Program and learned together. The symposium featured a keynote speech by Ms. Kanae Doi (Director of Human Rights Watch Japan) and the students engaged in discussions. The students bid farewell to each other with a sense of reluctance, promising to meet again, and the students from AUW returned to Bangladesh the day after the symposium.
