Courses under ODSRC

Courses offered by ODSRC (Online Development Studies and Research Community)

IPADS has started collaboration on providing online lectures with ZEF (Center of Development Research, University of Bonn) from Autumn term 2020.

The courses and workshops listed below are conducted by lecturers/post-doctoral students in IPADS and ZEF under ODSRC (Online Development Studies and Research Community) project. Although most of courses and workshops shared with ZEF under ODSRC are non-credited course in IPADS, the students are encouraged to deepen their understanding of international development research from both interdisciplinary and disciplinary perspectives by attending the courses offered by ODSRC.

*♦ Meta-regressions – the impact of moderator variables*Regression models are often used by researchers to assess the relationship between one (or more) covariate(s) and a dependent variable. This method can also be used in meta-analysis to assess the impact of moderator variables at the study level (study features or study-level covariates) on the effect size in the studies. Meta-regression refers to the use of these procedures in the context of meta-analysis. This workshop requires basic skills with R (understanding the R workspace, running scripts). However, the Rstudio cloud will have pre-loaded packages and datasets as well as other features that will allow you to interact with R more easily.
