In their initial correspondence, prospective applicants should clearly state their academic background, research interest and experience, and current level of English proficiency.

Applicants for the PhD program must contact potential supervisor(s) **directly** and prepare a research proposal with him/her/them prior to application. The IPADS Office does not offer assistance for potential applicants to select their PhD supervisors.

Please also note that the IPADS Office does not provide advices on financial matters including scholarships. No reply will be given to such inquiries.
