## Degree Offered
The Interdisciplinary Program in agricultural and Forest Meteorology offers the following degrees:\
– Master of Science & Doctor of Philosophy in Agricultural and Forest Meteorology.
## Degree Requirements
To qualify for a degree, a student must earn the specified number of credits during the enrollment term, as stated below, pass the thesis submission qualification test, submit their thesis, and have it approved.
## Enrollment Term
Students must have completed at least two years (four semesters) of enrollment for a master’s or doctoral program, and at least four years for a combined master’s and doctoral program. Students may be enrolled up to four years for a master’s program, and six years for a doctoral program. No enrollment after those periods will be allowed.
## Required Courses
Students must earn 24 credits or more for a master’s program, 36 credits or more for a doctoral program, and 60 credits or more for a combined master’s and doctoral program (including credits earned during the master’s program). Students must also earn an overall GPA of 3.0 or above.

## Thesis/Dissertation Submission Qualification Exam
Students must pass their major courses and foreign language tests to attain the qualification to submit their thesis.
**· Qualification Exam Requirements**
– More than 2 registered semesters\
– For a Master’s Degree: With more than 18 credits\
– For a Doctoral Degree: With more than 12 credits\
– Must be registered as a researcher to enroll\
– Completed Environmental Safety Education (http://ieps.snu.ac.kr/)\
– Foreign Language Exam: An English exam can be replaced with a TEPS or TOEFL score. (Minimum score required: TEPS 551, TOEFL(CBT) 213, TOEFL(IBT) 79)
**· Qualification Exam**
– General Exam: Test of subjects related to one’s major\
\* Master’s Program: Questions are from 2 common subjects\
\* Doctoral Program: Questions are from 2 common subjects and 2 subjects chosen by the committee\
– Oral Exam: The oral exam can be replaced with a Research Proposal Meeting.
**· Criteria for Passing**
– Applicant must score more than 70.
**· Exams are given twice a year, in March and September.**
## Requirements for the Submission of Thesis/Dissertation
Passing the evaluation by the thesis committee

– Submission Acceptance Period\
\* Master’s Program: Within 4 years of completing the coursework, excluding any military service period. This period may be extended for up to 2 more years at the dean’s discretion.\
\* Doctoral Program: Within 6 years of completing the coursework, excluding any military service period. This period may be extended for up to 2 more years at the dean’s discretion
– Applicant must score more than 70.
