How do I apply for funding?

If you need help to apply, you can book a Quick Query appointment and an adviser can help you.

I am ready to apply

If you’d like to apply yourself, then you’ll need to complete the following steps.

Provide medical evidence of your disability or an Educational Psychologist’s report if you have dyslexia or dyspraxia.

Fill in the right DSA application form. This will depend on who is funding your degree.

Which DSA application form should I fill in?

Student Finance England (SFE) are funding my degree

NHS Student Bursaries are funding my degree

Student Finance Wales (SFW) are funding my degree

Student Finance Northern Ireland (SFNI) are funding my degree

Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) are funding my degree

NHS Social Work Bursaries are funding my degree

A Research Council is funding my degree


Student Finance England (SFE) are funding my degree

We'd encourage you apply for DSA online

Alternatively, If you're starting University in 2024/25, you can download one of the following forms to make a DSA application:

You will need to apply online via your Bursary Online Support System (BOSS) account

If you are funded by any of the following Research Councils, please book a Quick Query appointment or register with DASS, as Disabled Students Allowance is managed through our office. We will take you through the application process.
