Health and safety training
All staff, students and visitors should receive sufficient training to carry out their tasks safely and reduce the potential for personal injury, or other loss.
This toolkit contains links to
- health and safety training requirements, including the need to carry out an analysis of training needs
- Staff Learning and Development - who provide a range of health and safety courses
- The Competency Development Framework for School Safety Advisors is a tool to assist them and their managers to develop their skills and identify training requirements
Induction training
All students, staff, (new to or transferring within the University) and visitors should receive and understand health and safety information as part of the general induction into their role or location. See the Induction Toolkit for specific information.
