## Our Services

**Estates and Facilities** provide all services relating to the operation and maintenance of University building structures and associated engineering services; this encompasses planned maintenance and reactive repairs, internal cleaning, window cleaning, pest control, waste management, grounds maintenance, car parking, security and energy management.

[Capital Projects Unit:](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/capitalprojectsunit/) responsible for the strategic planning, procurement, delivery and successful handover of major building projects.

[Car Park Services:](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/operationalservices/carparking/) is one of the units within [Operational Services](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/operationalservices/) and they provide and monitor permits for staff and visitor parking, and provide access to secure cycle shelters for staff and postgraduate students.

[Client Services Unit:](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/csu/) has a custodial role in the strategy management of the estate and brings together a number of estates and facilities client-side functions with the aim of providing a single point of service delivery for internal and external stakeholders working with the Directorate.

[Design Services Unit:](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/dsu/) offers a multi-disciplinary design and project management service in relation to the alteration, refurbishment, planned maintenance and new build.

[Environmental Services Unit](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/operationalservices/envsvcs/): is one of the units within [Operational Services](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/operationalservices/) and is responsible for the day to day operational management of landscaping, external cleaning, recycling and waste disposal.

[Environmental Sustainability](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/es/): responsible for all environmental sustainability issues at the University.

[Estate and Space Management:](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/esmu/) provide estate, space and drawing management services for the whole of the University’s estate.

[Estates Partnering Team](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/fet/): operate within each Faculty and the PSS to provide liaison and communication.

[Estates Support](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/estatessupport/): provide services in relation to [Central Teaching Spaces](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/centralteachingspaces/), [Estates Health & Safety](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/estatessafety/), [Financial & Procurement Compliance](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/estatessupport/e-ffinancial-procurementcompliance/) and Projects & Utilities Finance & Administration.

[Hospitality and Events:](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/hospitality/) responsible for University catering, hospitality, conferencing and events.

[House Services](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/operationalservices/houseservices/): is one of the units within [Operational Services](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/operationalservices/) and is responsible for the day to day operational management of cleaning, portering, mail, washroom services, out of hours events and window cleaning.

[Maintenance Services:](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/msu/) provide responsive and efficient delivery of the day to day maintenance and repair of building and engineering infrastructures across all the campus areas.

[Media Services:](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/mediaservices/) provide support for live events and the central teaching/meeting estate. Also client installation, video production and design and print services.

[Campus Support & Security:](https://www.estates.manchester.ac.uk/services/security/) provide security across all of the University campus areas and manage access control systems.
