**January Term 2026 Opening Hours**
Please find below our opening hours for cafes and retail outlets around campus.
- **Alan Gilbert Cafe** at The Learning Commons 8am-4.30pm Monday to Friday, weekends 10am-3.30pm)
- **The Place**, University Place 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday
- **Collaborate**, ground floor [Engineering Building A](https://www.mecd.manchester.ac.uk/) (Booth St East entrance) Monday-Friday 8am-5pm\*
- **Lime Cafe**, lower ground floor, Samuel Alexander Building 9.30am-4pm Monday-Friday
- **Smith's Cafe**, Michael Smith Building 8.30am-3pm Monday-Friday
- **Cafe 65**, ground floor [AMBS](https://www.alliancembs.manchester.ac.uk/) 8am-4pm Monday-Friday (run by [HospitalityOnCampus](https://www.hospitality.manchester.ac.uk/))
- **Connect Cafe**, 8am-4.30pm Monday-Friday
- **Greenhouse Cafe**, ground floor George Kenyon Building 8am-2.30pm Monday-Friday
- **The Library Lounge**, 9am-4.30 pm Monday-Friday **\**
- **Cafe 204**, 8.30am-3pm Monday-Friday
- **The Market** (including **The Market Coffee Cart**), 10.30am to 2.30pm Monday-Friday
- **The Hive**, 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday
- **Code Cafe**, 8.30am-3.30pm Monday-Friday
\*When conferences are using the event space in Engineering Building A on the ground floor, Collaborate will close.**\**
Please note that all of our cafes are now **cashless**. You can pay by card or use your staff/student ID card to [save 10% (staff) 20% (students)](https://www.foodoncampus.manchester.ac.uk/food-in-advance/) on all food and drink purchases.
Please remember if you Keep It On Campus, you are helping reinvest in the University whilst keeping our cafes and outlets open on campus. Where your building café is concerned please ‘use it or lose it’

Where we can we use local suppliers, only source meat and fish from sustainable sources where animal welfare is assured, and are committed to making Greater Manchester single use plastic free.
