Disability Advisory and Support Service

Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Support

We provide support for students with a large range of conditions that can affect their University life, including students who have any Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

Our lunchtime social group

During term time, we run a weekly lunch time gathering of students with ASC. This takes place at 1PM on Tuesdays, meeting at the Disability Advisory and Support Service.

It’s a great opportunity for you to meet other students that are on the spectrum and share your experiences.

Book a Quick Query appointment or contact us to find out more.

Specialist Mentoring

A Specialist Mentor will help you get used to the new environment at University. They can meet with you regularly throughout the academic year and answer your questions.

To access Specialist Mentoring, you will need to apply for the Disabled Students Allowance and register with the Disability Advisory and Support Service. This service will only be provided if its approved within this process.

Named Disability Adviser and Assistant Adviser

You will have a named Disability Adviser and Assistant Disability Adviserin the Disability Advisory and Support Service, who will be your main point of contact to discuss any disability and study related difficulties that you may be experiencing.

Appointments can be booked to see your named Adviser or we do have Quick Query appointments for you to see the Adviser on duty.
