Volunteering

Volunteering is an unpaid activity with a charity or not-for-profit organisation that makes a difference to the wider community.

It's a great way to enhance your University experience. As well as being fun, it can:

How can the University help you to volunteer?

The University of Manchester has a dedicated Volunteering and Community Engagement Team. Check out their website for the latest news, opportunities and events.

They advertise hundreds of volunteering opportunities across the university, Greater Manchester and further afield through the Volunteer Hub. Contact them for one-to-one advice to help you with volunteering queries or how to get your volunteering recognised. If you want to volunteer overseas, they can advise on safeguarding and volunteering as an international student.

IMPORTANT: If you want your volunteering to count towards your Stellify award, you must ensure it is logged on your account on the Volunteering Hub.
