## Eligibility
Those on a programme of study of duration over 6 months leading to an award at the University of Manchester are eligible for access to the Careers Service
- [Online and blended learning (distance) students](https://www.careers.manchester.ac.uk/aboutus/policies/eligibility/onlineandblendedlearningdistance/) Information on how to access services.
- If you have taken leave of absence from your degree you will get one year of access to services, and then normal access once you resume your course.
- Advice for MBA students and graduates is provided by The Postgraduate Careers Service at The Alliance Manchester Business School (AMBS) ONLY, Email [postgraduate.careers.service@manchester.ac.uk](mailto:postgraduate.careers.service@manchester.ac.uk) or ring 0161 275 6472 or make an appointment on the Postgraduate Careers Platform: <https://mbs-csm.symplicity.com/students/>
- Masters students in AMBS should book appointments with the AMBS Careers Service on the Careers Platform: [https://mbs-csm.symplicity.com/students](https://mbs-csm.symplicity.com/students/). They may use BOTH the central Careers Service and the Postgraduate AMBS Careers Service for vacancies and events.
- Careers Service are currently unable to access exchange student records via CareerConnect and are awaiting IT development work. In the mean-time please use the information on this website and [visit the Careers Desk or a drop in session](https://www.careers.manchester.ac.uk/appointments/dropin/) to ask any career related questions.
### University of Manchester Graduates
- Access to services for two years from your course completion date.
### Left a University of Manchester degree without completing?
- You have access to our services for one calendar year from the date you left your course. You may [apply for a temporary Careerconnect account](https://www.careers.manchester.ac.uk/aboutus/aboutcareerconnect/) via the link on this page.
### University of Manchester staff
Any member of staff who is currently a student at, or who has completed an Undergraduate or Postgraduate degree within the last 2 years from The University of Manchester is entitled to use the University of Manchester Careers Service. Please use your student or graduate account to access services.
Additionally or if you are not eligible to access graduate support at the Careers Service contact [Staff Learning and Development](http://www.staffnet.manchester.ac.uk/staff-learning-and-development/), who also provide a number of workshops on the training calendar around careers topics.
If you need access to event and vacancy information for the purpose of advising students go to [CareerConnect](https://careerconnect.manchester.ac.uk) and login as Manchester staff. If you do not have a staff account fill in the registration form.
For some staff working at The University is a stepping stone, while for others academia is the goal. We provide a range of resources on suitable for staff and students who may be looking to progress or make a career move.
