Careers Service

Careers in the legal sector are open to all degree subjects, the only differences are that law students apply for work experiences on different timescales, and take a slightly different professional postgraduate route to qualification.\ \ Regardless of your degree, it is important that you research the sector thoroughly to understand the role of a Solicitor or Barrister, and be clear about your motivation for choosing this career. The route to qualifying can be expensive, lengthy, and competitive so it is critical to do comprehensive research, connect with professionals in the sector and have a clear idea why you will find it enjoyable, rewarding and interesting.
