Lone working

All risk assessments should consider whether a worker could be at increased risk of harm if they cannot get prompt assistance if needed, or if the work will be done outside normal working hours.

The University arrangements indicates which activities must not be carried out by lone workers and provides information to assist when assessing risks to the lone worker.

Some example risk assessments are provided, together with guidance on how to use them.
