## Employee Assistance Programme

Employee Assistance Programme: Our EAP has now been relaunched as Health Hero.

Health Hero are a specialist external provider of staff wellbeing and mental health support services. Support is free and anonymous.

Colleagues can access a range of support from:

- Telephone Support
- Counselling – online and face to face
- Signposting to Specialist Agencies
- Health Hero Wellbeing Hub Information & Resources
- General Health & Wellbeing Support
- Legal Information
- Money & Debt Support
- Support for Managers

Call 0800 358 5997 or +44 141 271 7555  (landline alternative for international and/or mobile use) to speak to an advisor.

Lines are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year – you’ll always be able to speak to someone confidentially who can help.

**Heath Hero Wellbeing Hub**

[Health Hero Wellbeing Hub](https://vclub.healthhero.com/) is a HealthHero online portal, available 24 hours a day. Health Hero Wellbeing Hub provides a rich source of information, fact sheets, self-help guides and links to other useful web resources, as well as providing access to podcasts and eCounselling. The portal was re-launched in January 2023 and you can now also book an appointment with a counsellor via the Health Hero Wellbeing Hub website.

**How to access Health Hero Wellbeing Hub?**

To access Health Hero Wellbeing Hub go to [wellbeing.hub.healthhero.com/Identity/Account/Login](https://wellbeing.hub.healthhero.com/Identity/Account/Login). You will be asked for the username (UOMStaff) and password (Wellbeing).

## Mental Health Support Team Offer to Staff

Please try the staff EAP in the first instance. If Health Hero are unable to meet your needs then the Counselling & Mental Health Service can offer a review appointment: [Get Help (The University of Manchester)](https://www.counsellingservice.manchester.ac.uk/get-help/)

We would recommend that you also make an appointment with your GP.
