## IT Planned Work mailing list

Staff and students at The University of Manchester can sign up to this mailing list to receive occasional notifications of upcoming work, which may cause an impact to some IT services.

## Important notes:

- List members must subscribe with their University of Manchester email address. Non-University addresses will not be added to the subscriber list.
- This list is only to announce planned maintenance. Service alerts for unplanned/major IT incidents will continue to be posted to the help and support page of the IT Services website.
- Messages will be sent from an unmonitored mailbox. Replies to announcements won't be answered - all IT queries still need to be raised via the IT Support Centre.
- There won't be alerts for all IT scheduled work. Messages will be sent for work which is expected to have a noticeable impact on large groups of staff and/or students. Maintenance affecting small groups of people is more likely to be communicated via local channels.
- While we intend to make the messages as understandable to as many people as possible, the nature of some work may mean that we need to use technical language occasionally.
- Your email address will not be shared with any other services or added to other mailing lists.
