Participate in exciting opportunities that will deepen your interprofessional knowledge, skills and relationships.
Our center helps to coordinate several interprofessional education learning opportunities in the classroom, clinic and community throughout the year. These programs are open to all graduate health sciences students and ABSN/BSN students enrolled in a UW program.
Students connect with peers from their own programs during uniprofessional discussion time, building clarity in their roles and confidence to engage with interprofessional colleagues.
Student volunteers from across the health sciences work alongside licensed clinicians through the Harborview Medical Center Mobile Health Outreach clinic, gaining hands-on experience while supporting individuals experiencing housing insecurity.
Students use art to reflect on their unique journeys into healthcare during an IPE Core Curriculum Part Two session. Their individual pieces come together in a collective work that highlights shared interprofessional values.
Students engage in discussion on power dynamics and hierarchy in healthcare during an IPE Core Curriculum Part Three session, exploring how these structures affect teamwork and identifying strategies to promote more equitable collaboration.
