If you are currently receiving financial aid and are named a Mary Gates scholar, it is possible that you may not receive the full amount of your scholarship.

- Scholarships are subject to review and approval by the Office of Student Financial Aid.
- Recipients of need-based aid cannot receive funds from any source in excess of their calculated financial need.
- In most cases, a Mary Gates award will provide for any unmet need or reduce the amount of other aid you have (usually any unearned work study and/or undisbursed loans will be affected first).

Undergraduate Academic Affairs and the Office of Student Financial Aid are committed to working with you to offer you the maximum benefit of your award allowable under state and federal student financial aid policies and regulations.
