Couples Domestic Provision and Housekeeping

Couples in our University self-catered flats are provided with various facilities and furnishings.

Bedrooms

All bedrooms are carpeted. Subject to the flat layout they are generally equipped with the following furniture:

• Standard double bed
• Bedside cabinet
• Chest of drawers
• Wardrobe
• Desk and study chair
• Waste paper bin
• Bedding

Bedding, bed linen and towels are not provided in couple flats. You will therefore need to supply these items yourself (such as a duvet, duvet cover, pillows, pillowcases, blankets, sheets and towels).

Kitchen and Living area facilities

University flats offer self-catering accommodation and the kitchens are equipped with the following items:

• Four-ring electric cooker with oven and grill
• Microwave
• Fridge/freezer
• Vacuum cleaner
• Mop and mop bucket
• Broom
• Ironing board (no iron or cover provided)
• Kitchen bin

Southbridge has more limited kitchen provision:

• Microwave
• Fridge
• Vacuum cleaner, available on a shared basis

Cutlery and crockery are not provided in any of the couple flats.

Facilities

Subject to the flat layout, communal areas may be provided with the following furniture:

• Kitchen table and chairs
• Sofa or easy chairs
• Laundry

Students in all self-catered flats have access to laundry facilities. Where possible there is a washing machine in the flat, alternatively a laundry is close by. The Laundry is operated by a pre-paid card or mobile phone App. Please check your inventory.

Housekeeping

There is no cleaning service provided at our family accommodation.
