How much it will cost to study with us if you normally live in a country or region outside the UK or the Republic of Ireland.

## Tuition fees

### International and EU/EEA applicants

As an international applicant, you will usually pay the International fee rate.

You will pay a fixed annual tuition fee, meaning you pay the same amount in fees each year. This gives you the reassurance of knowing exactly how much you'll pay each year before your studies begin.

You can find information on fees for your chosen programme on our degree finder.

### EU/EEA applicants with pre-settled or settled status

If you are from the European Union or European Economic Area and already have pre-settled or settled status, you may be eligible to pay the Scotland tuition fee rate.

## Funding for international and EU/EEA applicants

To find out more about funding opportunities for international and EU/EEA students, check our Funding page.

### If you need to pay your tuition fees

If you do not have your funding arrangement in place before registration, you will need to provide card details to complete the registration process. Registration is the first step towards matriculating.

If you are financing your own studies, or are partly self-funded, you must make arrangements to pay your tuition fees during registration.

## Costs if you need a Student visa

If you need a Student visa to study in the UK, you will need to pay a visa application fee and healthcare surcharge to give you medical coverage while you’re studying here.

## Living costs

You will be responsible for your living costs while studying. This includes accommodation, utility bills and food.

You can get a detailed breakdown of how much you can expect to spend on living costs on the Living costs page.

## Additional studying costs

Some programmes also involve additional costs, for example studying abroad or compulsory field courses.

You should make sure you are aware of these costs early on in your application process.

Check our degree finder for information on any additional costs for your chosen programme.
