Biography
Dr Ram Prasad Bhatta has extensive expertise in development of smart Aggregation-induced Emission (AIE) active materials and their applications. He obtained his PhD in Material Science in 2024 from BITS Pilani, India. He has a Master's and a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. In 2025, Dr Bhatta moved to the Department of Engineering Science at the University of Oxford.

- Design, synthesis and characterization of materials
- Fascinated in engineering of smart functional materials
- Engineering of smart stimuli-responsive AIE-active materials (Organic, Polymers and composite) for different applications such as self-healing materials, VOCs sensors, Turn on MFC materials for pressure sensing (Pa to MPa range) etc
