## Healthcare Biorobotics Lab
(HBL)
We develop soft and wearable robots to enhance people's health.
We explore AI algorithms and data-driven solutions to guide the design, control, and modelling of robots, aiming to prevent injuries, assist rehabilitation, and enhance performance.
Our ambition is to bridge the gap between early-stage biorobotic technology and practical healthcare applications by leveraging the essential qualities of biocompatibility and biomimicry.
Our philosophy is to fuse design thinking and engineering methods to address real-world problems, with a strong emphasis on usability, sustainability, and viability.
In association with The Podium Institute for Sports Medicine and Technology, the lab has a keen interest in developing innovative AI and wearable robotics technologies to monitor, prevent, and predict movement-related injuries in sports.
