Kevin's research focuses on integrating e-cookers with power-limited solar photovoltaic (PV) systems as a clean cooking transition pathway for sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Specifically, his work addresses efficient energy use, and the automation of e-cookers specialized for preparing SSA's staple meals.
Mokone Shibambu (Thorsten)

Thorsten's research focuses on optimising a dual land use system where agriculture and solar photovoltaic energy production occur on the same land – Agrivoltaic system. Specifically analysing how the configuration of solar panels affects the radiation available for crops to grow either underneath or between the panels and the overall cost of the system.
