## Welcome to the University of Oxford's Computational Mechanics Group
We are a multidisciplinary research group united by a common theme: the use of advanced mathematical and computational techniques for the modelling of many types of materials and structures, ranging from metals to composite materials to living tissue. Our work spans the development and application of novel state-of-the-art numerical techniques to better understand, predict, and design complex behaviours in engineered and living systems. By bridging mechanics, biology, computation, and AI, we aim to provide insights and tools that address problems across a wide range of scales and applications. We collaborate directly with industrial partners, clinicians and other disciplines of all horizons.
