Brassart Research Group

Welcome to the Brassart Group!

In our group, we use the tools of continuum mechanics and thermodynamics to elucidate the fundamental mechanisms that underpin the mechanical and functional behaviour of materials. We are particularly interested in multiphysics and multiscale problems, with applications ranging from biodegradable plastics to hydrogels and electrode materials for Li-ion batteries. Our research is primarily theoretical and computational, but we are also developing our own experimental capability. Check out the Research and Publications tabs to find out more about our research, and the Openings tab to find out about opportunities to join our group.
