RobotCycle - Mapping and Understanding Road Infrastructure and Road User Behaviour

The goal of this project is to gain insights on how cycling infrastructure can affect the behaviour and safety of cyclists during their journeys. Project outcomes will inform the decision making of different stakeholders (incl. cyclists, other road users, city planners, and/or policy-makers). 

Overall, the project has the following objectives:\

  1. Collect real-world traffic data capturing cyclists and other road users
  2. Analyse and assess the road network in terms of safety for cyclists
  3. Categorise road infrastructure according to safety and identify areas of high risk
