# Idris Kempf

Idris Kempf  I am a DPhil (PhD) student under the supervision of [Paul Goulart](http://users.ox.ac.uk/~engs1373/) and [Stephen Duncan](https://eng.ox.ac.uk/people/stephen-duncan/) in the Control Group of the Department of Engineering Science of the University of Oxford.  My DPhil project is conducted in collaboration with [Diamond Light Source](https://www.diamond.ac.uk) and focuses on electron beam stabilisation systems for synchrotrons. My research interests include control theory and optimisation, and their application to various fields.  I am a member of [Lady Margaret Hall](https://www.lmh.ox.ac.uk/) and I am tutoring for [Oriel College](https://www.oriel.ox.ac.uk/). I have also participated in the [OxVent](https://oxvent.org/) project. |
