Each initiative brings the strategy to life and helps us meet our commitments and move forward.

The Office of the Provost and Vice-President, Academic, provides leadership around the development of the UBC budget for the Vancouver campus. This helps ensure that resource investments align with UBC’s strategic goals and aspirations.

#### President’s Excellence Chairs

In January 2016, the UBC Board of Governors approved the creation of the UBC Excellence Fund to advance academic excellence and strengthen UBC in the years to come. The chairs created through the PEC program are in Biodiversity Studies, Brain Health, Forest Bio-products, Global Migration, Precision Oncology, Network Cultures and Healthy Aging.
