Academic Requirements
To be eligible for Online Learning at Allard Law, you must have:
- A first law degree (J.D. or LL.B. or its equivalent)
AND
- A valid NCA Assessment Report or a completed file with the NCA in queue for assessment\ \ (It is important to note that while our classes are pre-approved by the NCA to meet their requirements, we are unable to guarantee that the NCA will accept our classes for your individual Assessment without the valid NCA Assessment Report. As each individual NCA Assessment Report differs, it is your responsibility to confirm with the NCA whether they will accept the classes as meeting your NCA requirements. Please also be mindful of the course drop dates and the respective tuition refund dates.)
English Language Requirements
You completed a degree program (Bachelors or higher) at an institution where English was not the primary language of instruction.
If you have completed a degree program (equivalent to a bachelors or higher) from an institution where English was not the primary language of instruction in the entire institution (not just the degree program), you are required to send us an English Language Proficiency test: TOEFL (IBT) or IELTS (Academic). Tests must have been taken within the last 24 months at the time of application.
Please note, we do accept the TOEFL iBT Special Home Edition of the TOEFL for admission to take our classes

If your degree information is from one of the following countries AND provided by the NCA with your file, you do not need to provide any further proof:
American Samoa, Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Belize, Botswana, British Virgin Islands, Canada (including Quebec), Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guam, Guyana, Ireland, Jamaica, Kenya, Lesotho, Liberia, Malawi, Malta, Mauritius, Montserrat, Namibia, New Zealand, Nigeria, Papua New Guinea, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Africa, St. Helena, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Trinidad & Tobago, Tanzania, Turks & Caicos Islands, Uganda, United Kingdom, USA, US Virgin Islands, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
If your degree conferral information is not provided by the NCA with your file, you will need to send a set of official transcripts from the institution.
If your country is not listed above, you will need to provide an official statement from your institution, confirming the use of English as the primary language of instruction in the entire institution.
