The Centre for Feminist Legal Studies, founded in 1997, is an academic centre dedicated to fostering inclusive feminist engagement at UBC through research, teaching, and community-building. The CFLS provides opportunities for students, scholars and the wider feminist legal community to come together, build networks, collaborate on research, and exchange ideas. The CFLS has been significant in ensuring that feminist and social justice issues remain visible at the Allard School of Law, and that the law school remains connected to feminist activism, scholarship, and advocacy in the larger community.

We support the law school community by providing volunteer opportunities for students, events, academic support, and a welcoming and trans-inclusive space. All students, faculty, and staff who support the aims of a feminist centre and who value equity and social justice are welcome to become involved in the CFLS community.

Members of the wider feminist community are invited to join our e-mail list or follow us on social media to be kept apprised of CFLS events and initiatives.
