### TU Delft Campus makes switch to geothermal energy
After years of preparation, research and construction, the moment has arrived: the geothermal well on TU Delft Campus has officially been put into operation. The well supplies sustainable heat to the majority of university buildings as well as several DUWO student housing complexes. As a result, CO₂ emissions from building heating will decrease significantly, with reductions expected to reach approximately 80% by 2027. ### South Korean bachelor’s students visit IDE for the first Impact Academy
IDE organised and hosted the four-day “Impact Academy” for 32 bachelor’s students from eight leading technical universities in South Korea. The multidisciplinary programme featured workshops and lectures by colleagues throughout TU Delft. They were joined by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in the Netherlands, Seok-In Hong.\

### Delft Hyperloop makes history with groundbreaking performance at European Hyperloop Week
The student team from TU Delft delivered an outstanding performance during the European Hyperloop Week (EHW) in Veendam. Delft Hyperloop became the first student team in the world to successfully demonstrate a live test on the 420-metre-long track of the European Hyperloop Center (EHC) – the longest hyperloop test track in Europe. ### New Delta lab accelerates applied research on soil, water, energy and climate
The energy transition, cleaner water, healthier soils and fewer greenhouse gases – the Netherlands faces major challenges. To address them, we need a deep understanding of what is happening in our soil and water systems. ### TU Delft Campus frontrunner in job growth
Campuses and science parks in the Netherlands are vital for fostering job creation and new business activities. Over the past 6.5 years, 22,000 new jobs have been created by 3,000 companies located on the 20 of the most prominent campuses and science parks in the country. ### Royal order for Paul Althuis
Paul Althuis has received a royal decoration. The former director of the Innovation & Impact Centre has been appointed as Officer in the Order of Orange-Nassau.
