# Scholarships from other providers

**Have you been awarded a scholarship from an external provider/organisation? Follow the steps below if you have been admitted to TU Delft.**

The following conditions apply if (conditionally) admitted MSc students are awarded a (full) scholarship from an external scholarship provider or organization and wish to submit this to TU Delft.

1. The scholarship letter must be submitted before **1 June** to [contactcentre-esa@tudelft.nl](mailto:contactcentre-esa@tudelft.nl)  indicating your student number.

2. The scholarship letter must contain the following information:
   - name of the scholarships provider
   - date
   - name of the student as shown on passport;
   - date of birth
   - start and end date of the scholarship – duration of the scholarship
   - program the student will be studying at TU Delft;
   - the amount of the scholarship
   - email address where TU Delft should send the invoice for the payment of tuition fee;

3. The scholarship letter must be approved by TU Delft before 15 June at the latest. If the scholarship letter does not meet the requirements of the IND, the scholarship will be rejected, with the result that students must transfer the tuition fees and living costs as indicated on the Financial Letter to TU Delft before 1 July.

4. Should the scholarship not cover the full 1st year Living costs, students are required to transfer the difference in fees **before 1 July**.

5. All students are required to transfer to TU Delft the applicable requested service fees (housing and residence permit/visa) **before 1 July**.\
6. Tuition fees must be fully covered for the duration of the master's degree, i.e. 2 years; scholarship providers should take into account a yearly increase in the tuition fees of at least 2%-3%

### FAQ

How will my tuition fees be paid to TU Delft?
:   Each year in September, the TU Delft will send an invoice to the scholarship organisation via email for the payment of the full tuition fees for the academic year in question. The invoice has a fixed format, and it is not possible to add extra information on request. The **payment term is 30 days** from the invoice date.

    Please note that the bank will charge handling costs for the transaction. We ask you to make sure the total amount also covers these bank costs. An email must be sent to the TU Delft scholarship coordinator ([scholarships-esa@tudelft.nl](mailto:scholarships-esa@tudelft.nl "mailto:scholarships-esa@tudelft.nl")) as confirmation of the bank transfer.

Is it possible to pay tuition fees in instalments?
:   It is not possible to pay the tuition fee in instalments. In the unlikely event that the student should stop studying at TU Delft, we have the following arrangement with regard to the reimbursement of part of the tuition fee:  If a scholarship provider (from the country of origin) has paid tuition fees for a student who deregisters early, this will affect any refund. There is no right to a refund if students cancel in July or August. In case of requests received before May 31 (deregistration by June at the latest), there is a right to a refund for the remaining months of the year. The amount will be refunded to the bank account of the student, who must settle this with the scholarship provider if required.
