## Major Preparation Requirements
- At least one year of a modern European language other than English
- Two or more courses from:
- History of Europe (post-1750)
- French culture/civilization
- French literature
- Russian literature
- Russian film
- Sociocultural anthropology
- Cultural geography
- Contemporary world history
- World literature
- Comparative politics
- Economic geography
- Macroeconomics
- Microeconomics
- Introductory sociology
**Note:** One year of high school in which the primary language of instruction was a modern European language may be used to satisfy the language requirement for admission purposes. Completion of two years of college level foreign language is strongly recommended.
