## Major Preparation Requirements

### Required courses

- One year of calculus
- One course in introduction to C++

### Four or more additional courses from

- Introductory psychology
- Introductory biology or biology for the major
- Introductory physics, or introductory chemistry, or linguistics
- Philosophy (critical reasoning, philosophy of science, or philosophy of the mind)
- Intermediate C++ programming
- Additional computer programming course

**Note:** You must be admitted directly to this major and cannot change into this major after admission to UCLA.
