## Major Preparation Requirements

- At least one year of Arabic, Armenian, Hebrew, Persian, Turkish, or African language
- Two or more courses from:
  - Art history
  - Contemporary culture
  - History (post-1750) of Africa or the Middle East
  - Sociocultural anthropology
  - Contemporary world history
  - Cultural geography
  - World literature
  - Comparative politics
  - Microeconomics
  - Economic geography
  - Introductory sociology
