## Preparation for all Linguistics Majors

### Required courses for all linguistics majors

- At least one year of college-level coursework in the declared language

### Strongly recommended course

- Introduction to linguistics

**NOTE:** One year of high school in which the primary language of instruction was the declared language may be used to satisfy the language requirement for admission purposes. Completion of two years of college level foreign language is strongly recommended.
