**[Environment, Health & Safety](https://www.ehs.ucla.edu/) (EH&S)** assists UCLA in providing for the health and safety of the UCLA community and supports stewardship of the environment and regulatory compliance.  The functions include conducting approximately 4700 total safety inspections, which includes laboratory and non-laboratory inspections; providing roughly 35,000 individual safety training (online and classroom) sessions; the campus fire protection program; radiation safety and management; injury prevention; air emission and water quality control; occupational health and safety including about 2300 online or onsite ergonomic assessments; hazardous biological, chemical, and infectious materials safety; and emergency management.
