## Major Preparation Requirements

### Required courses

- One and a half years of calculus through multivariable
- Linear algebra
- One year of calculus-based physics (mechanics, electricity, magnetism)

### Strongly recommended courses

- Differential equations
- Additional calculus-based physics course
- Two courses in astrophysics (stars, nebulae, stellar evolution, galaxies, and cosmology)
- One course in computer programming
