Assistant Professor Bridger Ruyle's research on fluorinated pharmaceuticals in wastewater was selected by the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS) as one of its highlights for 2025. The study revealed that common prescription drugs make up about 75% of organic fluorine in wastewater entering treatment plants.
